LAKEFIELD — Beverly Schultze, age 91, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 29, 2024, at Highview Hill Assisted Living in Lakeville, Minn. A celebration of life service for Beverly will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Lakefield with Pastor Andrew Schensted officiating. Burial will be in Lakefield Cemetery. A time of visitation and gathering will be held prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, June 4, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Lakefield.
Beverly Maxine (Olson) Schultze was born Nov. 8, 1932, to the late Peter and Anna (Christianson) Olson in Verona Township, Faribault County, Minn. Beverly was the youngest of 14 siblings and step-siblings and was lovingly raised by Pearl. Beverly was baptized in Trinity Lutheran Church in Blue Earth, Minn. on Aug. 27, 1933, and later confirmed. She attended public school and graduated from Ceylon High School with the class of 1952.
Beverly was united in marriage to Wayne Schultze on June 6, 1954, at Grace Lutheran Church in Fairmont, Minn. Their union was blessed with three sons, Mark, David, and Thomas. Beverly loved being a wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She enjoyed working various jobs outside of the home as well and was an active member of the church, serving as the secretary for many years.
Beverly was known for baking; her family specifically loved her chocolate chip cookies. She also enjoyed golfing with Wayne and working on sewing projects.
She is survived by her children, Mark (Edith) Schultze, David (Rebecca) Schultze and Thomas (Sherri) Schultze; grandchildren, Shannon (David) Levine, Tony (Laural) Schultze, Amy (Randy) Martius, Wendy (Matt) Mahal, Ashley (Mark) Scheierl, Brittany (Andrew) Bell and Crista (Brock) Boerboom; great-grandchildren, Anna and Miriam Levine, Bentley Martius, Olivia and Asher Mahal, Grayson, Cooper, Lincoln and Callan Scheierl, Baylor Bell; and sister Dorthy Benjamin.
Beverly was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Wayne Schultze. Blessed be the memory of Beverly Maxine Schultze.
