Angelene ‘Angie’ S. Stewart
FAIRMONT — A funeral service for Angelene “Angie” S. Stewart, age 94, of Fairmont, Minn., will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, May 16, 2024, at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Fairmont.
Angie passed away Friday morning, May 10, 2024, at Crossroads Care Center in Worthington, Minn. Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.
Angelene Signe (Tvedten) Stewart was born July 12, 1929, to Ole and Cora Odella (Seal) Tvedten in Chicago, Ill. In 1930, Angie and her family moved to Pilot Grove, Minn. She graduated from Elmore High School in 1946 and Parisian Beauty School in Minneapolis, Minn. on July 11, 1947.
On June 10, 1949, Angie was united in marriage to Earl Dean Stewart in Pilot Grove, Minn. Angie and Dean made their home in Fairmont, Minn. Angie worked as a hairdresser at a beauty shop before starting her own in her home for many years. After retiring, Angie worked part-time at various retail locations in Fairmont.
Angie was a member of Bethel Evangelical Free Church in Fairmont and was active in the church and also taught bible study through CBS. She was an avid sewer and was in a sewing club with her neighbors and friends. Angie sewed many things for her grandchildren through the years. She also enjoyed cooking, but most of all loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Jeff (Pam) Stewart of St. Paul, Minn., Ric (Mary) Stewart of Worthington, Minn. and Mark (Beth) Stewart of Rapid City, S.D.; grandchildren, Sarah (Christopher) Delfosse, Lindsay (Brad) VanVoorst, Josh (Leah) Stewart, Andrew Stewart, Alexander (Hannah) Stewart, Chloe (Jerry) Renfro, Jessica (Austin) Klein, Hunter Stewart, Serena Stewart, Isaiah Stewart, Charlie Stewart and Jonas Stewart; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Lenny (Carol) Tvedten of Fairmont; brother-in-law, Jenifer Bosma of Blue Earth; sister-in-law, Dorothy Stewart of Fairmont; nieces, nephews and other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ole and Odella Tvedten; husband, Earl Dean Stewart; sister, Mary Ann Bosma; brother, Ernest (Elda) Tvedten; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob Stewart, Herbert Allen Stewart, Fern Beyer and Joyce and Kenneth Evans.
