Geraldine Gewerth

HENDERSON, Nev. — Geraldine “Geri” Gewerth, 89, of Henderson, Nev., passed away Monday, April 8, 2024. A family celebration of Geri’s life will be held at a later date. The family has entrusted Las Vegas Cremation, 5555 W. Charleston Blvd. in Las Vegas, Nev. with the arrangements.

Geri was born Oct. 8, 1934, in Morton, Minn., the daughter of the late Nellie and George Fullerton.

Geri married Herbert “Herb” Gewerth on March 12, 1951. They resided in Morgan, Minn., where Geri clerked at Albrechts Fairway Foods and Herb at Lambert Lumber. They relocated to Fairmont, Minn. in 1965. The couple built and lived in their home in Fairmont, until relocating to Henderson, Nev. to be near family in 2017.

Geri and Herb were members of St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont, Minn. and St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church in Henderson, Nev. Geri’s hobbies included playing bingo and cards, enjoying coffee with her Fairmont friends, and any occasion with her family, especially MN Twins and Vikings games at Gary and Joy’s.

Geri is survived by her loving husband, Herbert “Herb” Gewerth; her children, Linda (Dale) Range and Gary (Joy) Gewerth; grandchildren, Jamie Gewerth, David (Kayla) Gewerth; Gewerth great and great-great-grandchildren, Christina, Donny, Jasmine, Bryan, Kathryn and Lilliana all of Henderson, Nev.; brothers, Larry (Jane) Fullerton of Welcome, Minn., Robert (Shirlene) Fullerton of New Ulm, Minn.; sisters, Joan (Bob) Norton of Las Vegas, Nev., Sheila (Gary) Shaffer of Vallejo, Calif.; sister-in-law, Marilyn (Ronnie) Fullerton of Fairmont, Minn.; other family and friends who remember her kindness and warmth.

Preceding Geri’s passing were her parents; granddaughter, Krissie Gewerth Marquez; 5 sisters, Dolly Perry, Kathy Burzyck, Carol Terhar, Patsy Kropuenske and Bonnie Falvey (formerly of Fairmont); brothers, Jack Fullerton, George Fullerton Jr. and Ronnie Fullerton (formerly of Fairmont).

Geri may not have been rich or famous. But she was loved. Geri’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew her.
