Lester Lyle Pierson

TRUMAN — Lester Lyle Pierson, known affectionately as “Les,” passed away peacefully Friday, April 12, 2024, in his home, surrounded by family. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date with family and close friends. Kramer Family Funeral Home of Trimont, Sherburn and Welcome, Minn. is assisting the family with arrangements.

He was born Jan. 23, 1960, in Beeville, Texas, to Herman and Anna Pierson (Russo). Les lived the majority of his life on the family farm outside of Truman, Minn.

Les was a simple man and any day spent with his family on the farm was considered a good day. He had many hobbies including riding his Harley, driving his Corvette, playing guitar, traveling to motorcycle rallies, and listening to music. He loved the ocean, where he spent his younger years fishing with his brother Dan. He had a variety of jobs over the years, from owner and operator of a construction company to machining, manufacturing, and maintenance roles as well. There simply were not many things Les could not fix.

Les was predeceased by his parents; and his son, Rex. His memory will be forever held in the hearts of his wife, Ping Pierson; his children: Max Pierson, Amy Mathiason (Pierson), Cora Pierson (Jamie Johnson), Adam Pierson (Emilee Pierson), Dion Pierson and Lance Pierson (Wang); 10 grandchildren: Madison Mileham, Ryan Pierson, Parker Mathiason, Brooklynn Pierson, Benet Mathiason, Ashlynn Pierson, Camden Mathiason, Emma Pierson, Ellie Johnson and Irelynn Pierson; his former wife, Colleen Pierson (Fetters); his siblings: Deborah (Deb) Stuhlman (Pierson), Daniel (Dan) Pierson and Patricia (Pat) Pierson; and many uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.

Lester Lyle Pierson will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know him. www.kramerfuneralhome.com
