Debra passed away peacefully Saturday, March 23, 2024, at her home in Fairmont, surrounded by her loving family. Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Debra Glee (McGranahan) Mason was born Dec. 30, 1955, in Fairmont, Minn., the daughter of Arland and Wanda (Willard) McGranahan and attended school in Fairmont.

In 1971, Deb was united in marriage to Curley Mason in Watertown, S.D. Deb and Curley traveled and made their home in many places. They were blessed with three children, Markita, Tiger, and Windy. While living in Minnesota in 1988, Markita passed away at the age of 16. Deb and Curley would not leave their daughter behind and made Fairmont their permanent home.

Deb was gifted in the arts and extremely talented in everything she did. During trips in the summer to see family and friends, she would sing during long car trips to help keep her children entertained. She loved drawing, working on crafts, and painting and shared her works with those closest to her. Deb was passionate about animals and had a special place in her heart for horses and her dog, Mouse. She loved to fish and looked forward to the excitement of trying her luck at landing the “Big One.” Deb treasured spending time with her family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Curley Mason; son, Tiger (Lisa) Mason; daughter, Windy Mason; grandchildren, Dallas, Alyssa, Starlette, Pepper, LeesaLynn and Kalee; great-grandchildren, Waylon, Ruby and Katie; as well as many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family and friends.

Deb was preceded in death by her daughter, Markita Mason; parents, Arland and Wanda McGranahan; three brothers, Milo, David and Bobby; as well as other extended family. www.lakeviewfuneralhome.net
