WELCOME — A private family graveside service for Ione M. Nelson, 93, of Welcome, Minn., will be held at the Welcome City Cemetery in Welcome. Join the family to remember and celebrate the life of Ione from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at the Welcome Legion. Come and share your memories of her as we say goodbye and cherish the time we had together.
Nelson peacefully departed this life Saturday, March 9, 2024, in her sleep at her home in Welcome, Minn. Kramer Family Funeral Home in Welcome is in charge of arrangements.
Ione Margaret Borchardt was born Jan. 16, 1931, in Fraser Township, Minn., daughter of the late Theodore and Malinda “Fritz” Borchardt.
Survivors include: her two daughters, Lois Nelson and Rhonda Roessler; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren and baby Vaughn on the way; sister-in-law, Jayne Borchardt; other relatives and friends.
