Marcia Jean Kawecki (Porkkonen)
ANOKA — Marcia Jean Kawecki (Porkkonen), age 79, originally from Ortonville and Anoka, Minn., passed away peacefully Sunday, Feb. 25, 2024, in Fairmont, Minn. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at Washburn McReavy Seman Chapel, 1827 Coon Rapids Blvd. in Coon Rapids, Minn. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 22, at Zion Lutheran Church, 1601 S. 4th Ave. in Anoka, Minn., with visitation one hour prior to the service. Private interment will be at Fort Snelling.
A graduate of Ortonville High School class of 62, Go Trojans! Marcia lived and loved like nobody else could. A nurse for Allina Health for 35+ years, she became a friend to patients, to her coworkers, and anyone she crossed paths with. Loved and adored her 8 grandchildren and would brag about any one of her boys or grandchildren when given the chance.
Survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Walter; sons, Jason (Julie), Brian (Britney), Joe and Steven (Britta); eight grandchildren; and more friends than one could count.
She was preceded into death by parents, Edmund and Margaret; brother, Donald; numerous friends and loved ones.
