Ralph E. Messer
MANKATO — Ralph E. Messer, age 88, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2024, in Mankato, Minn., with his wife and children at his side. Per his request, he will be cremated with military graveside services to be held in June 2024 at the Basey Cemetery, rural Winnebago, Minn.
Ralph was born April 10, 1935, in Fairmont, Minn., the youngest child of Roy and Florence (Chance) Messer. He joined the U.S. Air Force where he served honorably until his discharge in 1974.
Survivors include: his wife of 66 years, Pat; brother, Maurice; his children, Vicki Wagner, Brad Messer and Sherry Stauffer; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
