Alvin C. Kain

FAIRMONT — A memorial visitation for Alvin C. Kain, age 96, of Fairmont, Minn., will be held 1-3 p.m. on March 8, at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont. Military honors, provided by the Lee C. Prentice American Legion Post 36 and Martin County Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1222, will take place at 1 p.m. on March 8, at the funeral home.

Kain passed away Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2024, at his home in Fairmont. Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Alvin Carl Kain was born March 8, 1927, to Arthur and Golda (Besser) Kain on a farm in Danville Township, Minnesota Lake, Minn. He served in the military and was a member of the Korean Vets and Lee C. Prentice American Legion Post 36

Survivors include: his wife, Pamela Kain; children: Jason Kain, Tom Kain, Roland Kain, Sara Kain, Kathleen Versteeg, Roger Kain, Linda Buhmann, Vickie Selbrade, Terry Kain, Cindy Burnett, Jim Kain, Gail Diede, Calvin Kain and Lori Kain; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
