Lois S. Harbo
FAIRMONT — A time of celebrating and remembering the life of Lois S. Harbo, 67, of Fairmont, Minn., will be held 2-5 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2024, at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont.
Lois passed away Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2024, at Mayo Clinic Health System, due to complications of lung cancer. Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.
Lois S. (Ulicni) Harbo was born Nov. 25, 1956, in Mankato, Minn., the daughter of Joseph and Stella (Barsotti) Ulicni. She attended Franklin Elementary School in Mankato and graduated from Mankato East High School.
On Aug. 28, 1976, Lois was united in marriage to Quinn Joel Harbo in Mankato, Minn. Together the couple would make their home in Fairmont and would be blessed with three children, Nicholas, Reid and Allison.
Lois was passionate about helping other people and enjoyed working as a Title 1 aide for the Fairmont Public School System. In her youth, Lois found a love for music and became a talented violinist and later shared that love to many violin students that she taught through the years.
Lois had strong faith and was a member of the Blue Earth Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Her background in teaching made it easy for her to share Bible lessons and teach about the Bible to others.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Quinn Harbo; children, Nicholas (Dinah) Harbo, Reid (Veronica) Harbo and Allison (Jake) Newstrom; grandchildren, Joshua Harbo and Sophia Harbo; a brother, David Ulicni; as well as many other extended family and friends.
