Irma D. Grunst

ALPHA — A funeral service for Irma D. Grunst, 89, of rural Alpha, Minn., will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Alpha, Minn. with burial at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, in Kimball Township, rural Alpha.

Grunst was called to her eternal rest Monday morning, Jan. 29, 2024, at Good Samaritan Society in Jackson, Minn. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the church. Arrangements are under the care of Kramer Family Funeral Home.

Irma Dorothy Gierke was born May 27, 1934, in rural Appleton, Minn., to Rev. Paul H.T. and Rosa (Trupke) Gierke.

Survivors include: her children, The Rev. Mark (Sally) Grunst of Billings, Mont., Ruth Grunst of Trimont, Minn., Joel (Jennifer) Grunst of Troy, Texas, Harold (Angela) Grunst of Centenial, Colo. and Paula (Doug) Bargfrede of Jackson, Minn.; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Bill Grunst of Windom, Minn., Alan (Marlys) Grunst of West Des Moine, Iowa; sisters-in-law, Karen Benjamin of Jackson, Minn., Mary Ann Miller of New Ulm, Minn., Jolene (Chuck) Frederick of Jackson, Minn.; other relatives and friends.
