Paula J. Gellert
FAIRMONT — A celebration of life visitation for Paula J. Gellert, 67, of Fairmont, Minn. will be Friday, January 19, 2024, from 1-3 p.m. at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont. Burial will be held at a later date in Lake Belt Township Cemetery, rural Ceylon, Minn. Paula passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at her home in Fairmont. Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.
Paula Joy (Vigdal) Gellert was born on February 10, 1956, in Fairmont, Minn., the daughter of Duane “Ole” and Wilma (Lubenow) Vigdal. She grew up in Ceylon and attended Ceylon Public School where she graduated.
Paula later moved to Fairmont, Minn. where she raised her four children, Steven, Ryan, Justin and Briana. She worked for Weigh-Tronix for many years in production and created many lasting friendships with her colleagues.
Paula loved the outdoors. She looked forward to the summer months spent out in the sun tending to her garden and flowers. Paula had a special place in her heart for her four-legged friends. After work for many years, Paula could be found walking her dog or spending time at the dog park. In her youth, Paula was also very fond of horses.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Steven Gellert of Fairmont, Minn., Ryan Gellert of Mankato, Minn., Justin Dorcas of Fairmont, Minn. and Briana Dorcas of Fairmont, Minn.; grandchildren, Owen Gellert, Isaac Gellert, Leo Gellert, Abby Gellert, Brycen Dorcas, Riley LaMont, Alex LaMont, Kyland Jensen and Clara Jensen; siblings, Cindy Mulligan, Nikki LaMack and Penny Abel all of Fairmont, Minn.; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Paula was preceded in death by her parents, Duane and Wilma Vigdal; grandparents, William and Selma Lubenow and Jake and Anna Vigdal; and a sister, Amber Tucker. www.lakeviewfuneralhome.net
