Randy was called to his eternal rest Saturday, November 18, 2023 at his home in Welcome, Minn. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 29, 2023 until the time of the services at 11 a.m. at the Church.

Randall Scott Olson was born May 14, 1953 to Richard O. and Elna A. (Garlisch) Olson in Trimont, Minn. He received his education in Trimont Schools later graduating with the class of 1971. Randy attended Mankato Vocational School for mechanics. He later farmed with his family and drove truck for Persson Grain, Blachowski Trucking and Gaalswyk Trucking. He also was a third generation road grader for Galena Township. Randy was a member of Waverly Lutheran Church and belonged to its choir. He enjoyed farming, fishing, waterskiing, horses, grilling, and hanging out at his cabin on Fox Lake. Randy was known by Randy O or Little Ole. He enjoyed going to Korte’s for Saturday morning gathering with his friends.

He is survived by his brother, Robert “Bob” Olson of rural Trimont, Minn.; nephews, Reid and Laura Olson of Lake Crystal, Minn. and their children, Roman, Richard and Ryan; Rusty and Heather Olson of Waseca, Minn. and their children, Ahvah, Aylah, and Axton; Rod and Kayla Olson of rural Trimont, Minn. and their children, Lyla and Case; nieces, Dawn and Duane Schnell of Estherville, Iowa, Kristin and Lee Edberg of Madison Lake, Minn., Heidi and Brian Clow of rural Truman, Minn.; several nieces and nephews; caretaker and special friend, Holly Hovick; and other relatives and friends.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Richard O. and Elna A. Olson; brother, Richard J. (Rick) Olson and other relatives.
