Stanley Edward was born November 29, 1946 to Henry and Valeria (Gorackowski) Stauffer in Winnebago. He was one of eleven children born into a catholic family. He was baptized and confirmed from St. Mary’s in Winnebago. He was the first high school pole vaulter in Winnebago and also participated in football, wrestling and golden glove boxing. In 1964 he joined the US Marine Corps where he proudly served in Vietnam. He was the definition of a true soldier. In 1970 he left the military and returned home, marrying the love of his life, Linda Davis on November 27, 1971. Together they raised their two daughters Nichole and Sandy. Stan worked for different construction companies and also drove semi, retiring from SMC in Winnebago. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, motorcycles and any outdoor activity. He and Linda took many trips to Vegas over the years, taking in the nightlife and different shows. He especially enjoyed bird watching, feeding the orioles and just taking in the more relaxed and quiet times. But nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his grandchildren. Stan was quite the story teller, always joking with his no filter, brutally honest sense of humor.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Nichole (Peter) Krueger of Lewisville and Sandy Stauffer (fiancé Chris Compton) of Maple Grove, his beloved grandchildren, Johnathan Bosshart, Joshua (Kaitlyn) Bosshart and Samantha Maine, 2 great-grandchildren, Emma Sonnicksen and Everleigh Bosshart. Brothers Steven (Joyce), Leo (Annette) and Joe (Nancy), sisters Susan Collins, Linda (Bob) Terhune and Irene (Doug) Hancock as well as many other extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Linda, grandson Jacob Bosshart and siblings John, Mary Honken, Geani Marsh and Louise Stauffer.
