Marjorie H. (Meyer) Schock

BLUE EARTH — Marjorie “Marge” Schock passed peacefully Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2023 at home surrounded by her loving family. Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 13 at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Blue Earth, Minn. with Fr. Jeff Dobbs officiating. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12 at Patton Funeral Home and one hour before the service on Nov. 13, at the church. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Blue Earth. Marge was born March 14, 1930, to Anthony and Helen (McNally) Lange in Hartington Neb. She grew up and graduated in 1948 from Beldon, Neb.

Marge so loved her family and her life was built around them. She enjoyed growing up on a farm in Neb. with her 2 sisters and 2 brothers. In 1953, she married Earl Meyer and together they had 5 children. Marge and Earl raised their children on a farm west of Blue Earth. She was a true farmer’s wife. In 1973, her husband Earl suddenly passed. In 1976, she was married to Delos Schock and lovingly welcomed his four children into her life. Delos passed in 2020. Prior to being diagnosed with cancer in Aug., Marge led an active and healthy life.

Marge is survived by her children: Donna (Galen) Nagel, Jim (Marge) Meyer, Helen (Craig) Walters, Lori (Rick) Bigaouette and Bruce Meyer; step-children: Mike (Deb) Schock, Sue (Butch) Ganzel, Dennis (Michelle) Schock and Brad Schock (special friend Sue Larson; 23 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; brother, Delwyn (Jean) Lange; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

Marge was preceded in death by both of her husbands, Earl Meyer and Delos Schock; parents, siblings, in-laws and nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by many family members and friends.
