Karen was born in 1942 in Franklin, Minn., to Evelyn and Thorleif.

After leaving Franklin, she settled in Fairmont, Minn., where she built a life that centered around raising her two daughters. It was in Fairmont where Karen established deep roots and contributed to the community in meaningful ways.

In her later years, Karen relocated to Kansas City to be closer to her grandchildren, where she continued to spread her warmth and love. She shared her wisdom and kindness with those around her, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her two loving daughters; and four adoring grandchildren.
