She leaves her daughter, Kristi (Brian Poquette) of Kansas City, Kan.; son, Tim; brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Avis Tourville, all of Spirit Lake, Iowa; her nephew, Bill (Jennifer) of Mankato, Minn.; great-nieces, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her dog and constant companion, Shadow.

Kathy is preceded in death by both parents; brother, George; and mother and father-in-law, Lora and Bill Tourville. Her reunion in the hereafter with family and friends is a warm light in the shade of our grief.

Kathy lived generously. She made an impact on all who knew her. She shared her laugh and love with all; giving her life to raising children she was proud of and a career with the Kansas City School District that will continue her legacy of generosity for many more

years. She loved working and, when asked, always planned to retire in “three more years.” Kathy’s children invite you to celebrate the life she lived and to continue to carry the wonderful memories she left in our hearts. Anyone with a kind memory to share is welcome to visit Westside Family Church, 8500 Woodsonia Dr. in Lenexa, Kan. at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21, 2023.
