Louise Patten
WINNEBAGO– Blue Earth, Minn. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023, at First Presbyterian Church in Winnebago, Minn., with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Louise was born Sept. 18, 1928, in Kenyon, Minn., to Dewey Edward and Mercedes Ernestine (Wintz) Wolf. After attending grade school in Nerstrand, Minn., she graduated from Faribault High School in 1946. Louise married Robert J. Patten on Oct. 7, 1947, in Faribault, Minn. In 1953, while living in Blooming Prairie, Minn., Bob and Louise established Patten Improvement, a roofing, siding and insulation business. They moved to Albert Lea, Minn. in 1954 and lived there until 1962 when Bob and Louise relocated to Winnebago, Minn. The business was renamed Patten Roofing and she and Bob worked side by side for many years.
Louise gave generously of her time, talents and resources, serving her church and community. She loved being outdoors and caring for her yard, vegetable and flower gardens, apple trees and raspberry patch. Above all, her family was her greatest treasure.
Louise is survived by her children, Roxanne (Frank) Mennenga of Huntley, Minn., Sam (Nina) Patten of Winnebago, Minn. and Robert (Debra) Patten of Bixby, Okla.; grandchildren, Lukas, Mason, Addie, Molly, Laura, Zac, Dan, Troy, Kristi and Ben; 25 great-grandchildren; and sister, Naomi Sprute. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob; son, Dan; granddaughter, Lonni Patten; sisters, Betty Rothanburg and MaryLou Zimmerman; and brothers, Dewey Wolf and David Wolf.
Memorials may be given to First Presbyterian Church in Winnebago, UHD Hospice in Blue Earth or Interfaith Caregivers in Blue Earth.
