Stanley J. Ries
ESTERO, Fla. — A memorial service to honor the life of Stanley J. Ries, age 83, of Estero, Fla., will be held 12 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, at Saint John Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont. Military honors will be provided by Lee C. Prentice American Legion Post 36 and Martin County Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1222.
Ries passed away Saturday, July 29, 2023, at the Gulf Coast Medical Center in Fort Myers, Fla., surrounded by family after a brief battle with lung cancer stemming from exposure to Agent Orange in Vietnam. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church in Fairmont. Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.
