Karen Kay Fryman

BLUE EARTH — Karen Kay Fryman, 76, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2023, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth, Minn. A celebration of life will be held 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023, at Hope Methodist Church in Blue Earth, Minn. Immediately following the service, interment will be at Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery, Fairmont, Minn.

Karen was born Nov. 29, 1946, in Fairmont, Minn., to Earl and Eunice Keithahn and was raised in Guckeen, Minn. Karen graduated from Huntley High School in 1964 and briefly lived in Des Moines, Iowa, where she worked as a secretary.

Upon returning to Guckeen, she soon met Danny Fryman, the love of her life. While spending time in her dad’s shop, the Guckeen Garage, she caught Danny’s eye while he was working at the Guckeen Grain Elevator. Just six months later they were married on Jan. 18, 1970. They were blessed with two children, Curtis and Bonnie. While raising her children, she spent many years working at St. Luke’s followed by Telex. Karen’s greatest loves were her husband, children and grandchildren followed closely by animals. Cats in particular held a special place in her heart.

Karen is survived by her spouse, Danny Fryman; children, Curtis (Amy) Fryman of Cicero, Ind. and Bonnie (Troy) Pullis of Brooklyn Park; grandchildren, Andrew and Jordan Fryman of Cicero, Ind. and Benjamin and Abigail Pullis of Brooklyn Park; brother, Cecil (Cheryl) Keithahn of Guckeen. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Eunice Keithahn; and brothers, Gary and Roger Keithahn.
