Lois passed away Friday, Sept. 15, 2023, at the Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center in Fairmont. Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Lois Mae (Wieske) Blint was born May 1, 1923, at her family’s home just outside of Truman, Minn., the daughter of Arthur and Sophia (Baade) Wieske. She attended country school District 12 through the eighth grade and continued her education and graduated from Fairmont High School. Following her graduation, Lois worked at the Rochester State Hospital.

On Oct. 9, 1943, Lois was united in marriage to Orville Blint at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Fairmont, Minn. The couple made their home in Fairmont where Lois worked for the Fairmont Hospital and at Madsen’s Grocery Store until her retirement in the late 1960’s.

Lois was an active member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church volunteering on various committees in addition to volunteering as a classroom aid at St. John Vianney Catholic for a few years.

Left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren, Liesl Blint Boven, David Blint, Heather Blint Kohl and Jill Blint; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many other extended family and friends.
