Mark S. Trembley
FAIRMONT — A private family service for Mark S. Trembley, 53, of Wells, Minn., formerly of Fairmont, Minn., will be held at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont. Burial will follow the service in Calvary Cemetery with military graveside honors by the Lee C. Prentice American Legion Post 36 and the Martin County Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1222. A picnic and time of sharing memories and remembering Mark will be from 3-6 p.m. Friday, Sep. 29, 2023, at Gomsrud Park in Fairmont.
Mark passed away Friday, Sept. 22, 2023, at his home in Wells, Minn. Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mark Steven Trembley was born Nov. 5, 1969, in Rochester, Minn., son of Harold “Butch” J. and L. Sallyann (Harris) Trembley. Mark attended school and graduated from Fairmont High School with the class of 1989. Mark would later enlist in the U.S. Army National Guard and earned his honorable discharge on Jan. 16, 1996.
Mark had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to tell stories. He was passionate about the outdoors and looked forward to camping trips in the warm summer months and the crisp fall mornings spent hunting with friends. Mark loved to socialize with friends and had a special place in his heart for his dogs, Bear and Maddy. Following a debilitating stroke, Mark, with the help of his friend, Jamie Morely, took up fly fishing. He cherished his time spent at the lake trying his luck at catching the next big one. Family was extremely important to Mark, and he treasured spending time with his daughter, Blaire, her husband Nolan, and their three children. He was incredibly proud of them and loved them dearly.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Blaire Crockford and husband, Nolan; three grandchildren, Madelyn, Sila and Malakai; mother, Sally Trembley; sisters, Jocelyn “Joie” Fraser and her husband, Hugh, Lisa Trembley and husband, Jeff Hibbard, and Amy Paradis and husband, Brian; special friend and cousin, Chris Trembley; best buddy, Todd Segar; aunt and uncle and godparents, Betty and Stan Felber; his dog, Bosco; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Harold Trembley, maternal grandparents, John and Loretta Harris; paternal grandparents, Bert and Mable Trembley; many aunts, uncles and extended family.
