Ekstrand passed away Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 9, 2023, at Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center in Fairmont, Minn. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blue Earth, and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church. Arrangements are under the care of Kramer Family Funeral Home in Trimont, Sherburn and Welcome.

Edanelle Mae “Eddie” Saunders was born March 5, 1922, to George and Florence (Jellison) Saunders in Newton, Iowa.

Survivors include: her daughter, Elizabeth Boettcher of Blue Earth; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Carolyn “Kelly” Ziemer of Elk River, Minn.; son-in-law, Richard Lee of North Potomac, Md.; other relatives and friends.
