Robert Emmett Barnett was born September 11, 1928 in silver Lake Township, Martin County, Minn. to Huge B. Barnett and Florence M. (Meyers) Barnett. He joined the United States Arm in 1950 serving stateside during the Korean War.

Robert is survived by his four children, Alisha of New Bern, N.C., Robert Barnett of Oriental, N.C., Douglas Barnett of Calif. and Debra Petersen of Dunnell, Minn.; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 3-1/2 great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives.
