James Russell Tow
FAIRMONT — James Russell Tow, 91, passed away on June 29, 2023 in Fairmont, Minn. A Celebration of Life for will be held 1 to 3 p.m., Saturday, July 29, 2023 at the Eagle’s Club in Fairmont. Military Honors will be held at 1 p.m. at the Eagle’s Club, presented by the Lee C. Prentice American Legion Post 36 and Martin County Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1222.
Jim was born in Spicer, Minn., October 17, 1931 to Martin and Mathilda (Vigdal) Tow. He moved to Fairmont as a child and graduated in 1950. Jim entered the Air Force in 1951, was a Staff Sgt. in military police stationed in Newfoundland and was discharged in 1955.
Jim is survived by his wife, Suzanne Allen Oliver, who he married in 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Donald, Vernon, Harold, Raymond and Robert; and sister, Norma Jane.
