Clayton J. Pytleski

FAIRMONT — Mass of Christian Burial for Clayton J. Pytleski, age 88, of Fairmont, Minn., will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, July 20, 2023, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont. Burial will be at Holy Family Catholic Church Cemetery, East Chain, Minn. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont, with a rosary service at 7 p.m. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church. Those wishing to view the live stream of the service may do so by going to the St. John Vianney Church Facebook page. Memorials are preferred to St. John Vianney School Endowment Fund or the American Cancer Society. Clayton passed away Saturday morning, July 15, 2023, at Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center in Fairmont. Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.

Clayton James Pytleski was born Jan. 11, 1935, to Alex and Eleanor (Ternberg) Pytleski in Silver Lake Township, Martin County, Minn. He graduated from East Chain High School in 1953. Clayton was united in marriage on June 4, 1956 at Holy Family Catholic Church in East Chain, Minn. This marriage was blessed with five children, Lori, David, Pamela, Barbara and Christopher. Clayton and Mary Ann made their home near East Chain where Clayton farmed. He also worked at Stokely-VanCamp for 13 years while he was farming and later in life as a Martin County Express Driver. Clayton was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church where he served as a trustee and was a member of Holy Family Church Holy

Name Society. In his younger years, Clayton was a member of the Silver Lake 4-H Club and later as an adult leader. He was also an East Chain School Board member for nine years. Clayton was an avid sports fan and enjoyed reading western novels and playing cards.

Although he loved traveling around the world, the 2009 Medugorie was his most memorable trip.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Mary Ann Pytleski; children, Lori Ann (Bruce) Nicklay, David John (Laurie) Pytleski, Pamela Kay (Don) Kuisle, Barbara Lynn (Mark) Rieger and Christopher Clay (Lia) Pytleski; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-

grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Marjorie Pytleski, Karen Pytleski and Mary Lindner; many nieces, nephews and other extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Eleanor Pytleski; grandson, Clayton Maurice Pytleski and Kenneth Donald Kuisle;

father and mother-in-law, Vincent and Norma Hytry; brothers, Jerome Pytleski and Vernon Pytleski; and nephews, Jeffrey Pytleski and Keith Pytleski. www.lakeviewfuneralhome.net
