Laura Sue Bloomgren was born Sept. 16, 1971, to Robert and Susan (Koch) Bloomgren in Trimont, Minn. She was baptized and later confirmed at Trimont Covenant Church. Laura received her education in Martin County West Schools later graduating with the class of 1990. She then received education at South Dakota State University and later Worthington Jr. College. Laura was employed at the Trimont Health Care Center and cared for children through her daycare. Laura then moved to Sherburn and worked in home health care and at Temperance Lake Ridge. Her last days were spent in Fairmont.
Laura loved life and lived for every moment, even the small ones. She had an infectious laugh and incredible smile, you always knew how happy she was. She was everyone’s biggest fan and friend. She was always there to help out, go on an adventure, or just listen. She was a caregiver by heart, always willing to go the extra mile for someone whether it was through her work or in everyday life. She loved new experiences such as trying out a new restaurant with a loved one. Her greatest joys were being surrounded by her family, grandchildren, and friends. She would hang out with them whenever she had the chance. Laura brought light to every room and looked for the good in people. She took pride in her nine plus years of sobriety.
Laura is survived by her three children, Emily Lawrence and Ben of Henderson, Minn., Natalie Lawrence of Minneapolis, Minn. and Andrew Lawrence and Miya of Trimont, Minn.; two grandchildren, Ember and Wyatt; father, Robert Bloomgren of Trimont and close friend, Nila of Fairmont; two brothers, Blaine (Rachel) Bloomgren of New Brighton, Minn. and Carter Bloomgren of Trimont, Minn.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Laura was preceded in death by her mother, Susan Bloomgren; grandparents, Dick and Lois Nordhausen, Harold Koch, Dean and Marion Bloomgren; and other relatives. Laura’s family encourages everyone to wear green, her favorite color, to the visitation or service.
