SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Carol E. Fitz, age 86, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2023, at Ava’s House in Sioux Falls. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at Miller Funeral Home Southside Chapel, 7400 S. Minnesota Ave., in Sioux Falls. Interment will be at Hills of Rest Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Ava’s House.
She was born June 11, 1937, to Maynard and Berniece Hurlburt in Graettinger, Iowa.
Grateful to have shared her life are her sons, Tim (Kathy) Fitz, Tom (Kim) Fitz and Troy (JoEllen) Fitz; brother, Mick (Connie) Hurlbert; grandchildren, Alex, Jacob, Tyler (Grace), Tanner (Maddy), Jami (Ben), Kayli, Anthony, Jennifer, Nichole and Alyssa (Dan); great-grandchildren, Jackson and Hudson.
