Avant died Sunday evening, June 11, 2023, at Friendship Manor in Shakopee, Minn. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. Friday at Bethel Evangelical Church in Fairmont. Arrangements are under the care of Kramer Family Funeral Home in Trimont, Sherburn and Welcome.

Lawana Margorie Adams was born in Welcome, Minn. to Richard and Clara (Finke) Adams.

Survivors include: her daughter, Wendy Nelson of Shakopee, Minn.; three grandsons; five great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
