She was born Nov. 12, 1944. Kathy graduated from high school in Fairmont, Minn. She attended the Minnesota School of Business and worked as a secretary before moving to California to pursue becoming a missionary sister. Her plans changed when she met the love of her life Jim. They later moved to Ashland, Oregon where they raised their family. Kathy lived a life dedicated to the service of others. Most of all she loved her family. She will be missed by many.

Kathy is survived by her husband of 50 years, Jim Martin; sons, Dan (Allison) Martin and Alan Martin; grandchild, Juniper; sister, Pat Peterson; brother, Dave (Linda) Carney; nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her mom, Bernice Carney; and sister, Joanne Kissinger.
