Macek died Tuesday evening, June 6, 2023, at Sunset Hospice Cottage in Worthington, Minn. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Jackson and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church.

Kramer Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

John Joseph Macek was born March 24, 1942, in Jackson, Minn., to Frank and Kathryn (Brennan) Macek.

Survivors include: his wife, Connie Macek of Jackson, Minn.; two sons, Mark Macek of Florsheim, Germany and David Macek of Jackson; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Mary Johannson of Jackson and Margo Ballard of Sherburn, Minn.; other relatives and friends.
