Services were held May 17 at S. Paul Methodist Church, Ninety Six, S.C., with burial at Elmwood Cemetery, Ninety Six, S.C.

She was born Nov. 21, 1924, in Welcome, Minn., the daughter of the late Harry I. and Stella Nelson Minick. She was a graduate of Welcome High School and attended business school in St. Paul, MN.

Welcome, Minn. was always home to her. She shared many of her memories and stories with family and friends.

Mrs. Courtney was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Ninety Six, S.C., and former member of the Harbor Heights Garden Club, Bridge Club and the DAR thanks to the urging of cousin and friend Nadine Handson Johnson.

She is survived by two daughters, Suzanne Courtney Kennedy and Marion Lee Wilson; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many Minick and Nelson nieces and nephews and cousins in Minnesota, N.J. and Wash. Mrs. Courtney was predeceased by her husband, Marion C. Courtney; son-in-law, Julian L. Wilson; her parents, Harry and Stella Minick; her brothers and their wives, Kenneth and Alice Minick, Russell and Donna Minick; and a nephew, Kurt Minick.
