Bill passed away Saturday morning, April 29, 2023, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Rochester, Minn. Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Bill James Brockman was born Aug. 25, 1950, in Fairmont, Minn., the son of Glen and Joyce (Wickler) Brockman. Bill attended Fairmont public schools and graduated from Fairmont High School in 1969.

Bill worked in various positions at Stokely in Fairmont which later became United Foods until the plant closure. He then began work at Fairmont Foods, Inc. until his retirement in June of 2017. When Bill wasn’t working, he enjoyed listening to music. In his younger years, he and his friends would go on fishing trips to Canada. Bill enjoyed watching sports on television and was a fan of Minnesota Vikings football. He most loved the time he was able to spend with his family members just visiting as well as attending family functions; including the company of his great-nephews and great-nieces. Left to cherish his memory include his sisters, Janice Meyer of Fairmont, Minn. and Lynda Tungland of Fairmont; nephews, Jason Meyer, Troy (Robyn) Tungland and their children, Tanner and Josh, Shane Meyer, Travis Tungland and Josh (Elisa) Meyer and their children, Joslyn and Liv; aunt and uncle, Marilyn and Arlo Hunstad; cousins, other relatives and friends.
