Victor was a 1942 graduate of Fairmont High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served for 2 years in the European Theater during WWII. Victor earned a medical degree from the University of Iowa and a residency in orthopaedics from the Mayo Clinic. He practiced medicine with his father, Dr. V.H. Gardner, Sr., in Fairmont at one time. Victor was pre-deceased by his wife, Hoshiko. He is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Lois and Jerry Krumwiede; son-in-law and wife, Frank and Sally Biladeau; and several nieces and nephews. Interment will be at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Wash.
