DEER RIVER -- Allen William Wink, 83, of Deer River, Minn., formerly of Welcome, Minn., died Monday, March 13, 2023. A memorial service with full military honors for him was held March 25 at Koop Funeral Home in Crosby, Minn. Burial will be held at a later date in Lakewood Cemetery, Crosby, Minn.
Allen was born April 24, 1939, in Arlington, S.D., son of William and Eva (Klindt) Wink. He entered and served in the U.S. Marine Corp and was honorably discharged.
Survivors include: his wife, Marcia; son, Rod Wink of Brainerd, Minn.; daughter, Angie Theis of Deer River, Minn.; three grandsons; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Janet Sangren of Cokato, Minn. and Joyce Sathoff of Fairmont, Minn.; other relatives and friends.
