TRUMAN -- Services for Arleen J. Widlund, 61, of Truman, Minn., will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont. A private family burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, April 7, 2023, at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont.
Arleen passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023, at her home in Truman. Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.
Arleen Josephine (Hermann) Widlund was born Sept. 3, 1961, in Charles City, Iowa, the daughter of Clell and Patricia (Parker) Hermann. Arleen attended elementary school in Charles City and following a move to Minnesota, attended school in Wells and St. James, Minn., before finishing her education at Minnesota West.
Arleen found joy in the satisfaction that came from a hard day's work. She worked for several years at Swift Eckrick in St. James before moving out to South Dakota. She then returned to Minnesota where she worked at Fairmont Foods, Hardee's and was currently employed at REM where she loved interacting with the clients. Arleen loved the warmth of the sun on a bright summer day spent at the lake and quite often could be found sipping on a Pepsi.
Left to cherish her memory is her mother, Patricia Hermann; children, Brian (Tara) Hermann, Laura Viland, Dean (Alice) Viland and Jamie (Sterling) Corbin; grandchildren, Jamie, Jakob, Alayna, Presleigh, Brian Jr., Breanna, Jackson, Mikayla, Madilynn, Jameson, Jaydon and Keanu; siblings, Shelly Chambers, David Hermann, Roy Hermann, and Bobbie Parker; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
