PLATTEVILLE, Colo. -- Ricky "Rick" Lee Siem passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Brighton Care Center. A celebration of life reception will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, April 16, 2023, at the Platteville Community Center, 508 Reynolds Ave. in Platteville.
Ricky was born April 18, 1953, in St. James, Minn., to Darrell and Sandra (Haertel) Siem. He graduated from Truman High School in 1972. Rick married Michele Greiner on Jan. 8, 1977. They lived in rural Truman until moving to Colorado in 1983. Rick worked road construction, installing water softeners, tire services and trucking.
Rick’s hobbies and interests included restoring old cars and tractors, fishing and spending time with family and friends.
Rick is survived by his wife of 46 years, Michele of Platteville, Colo.; sons and their families: Darren (Rhonda) Siem of Kersey, Colo., and Violet Siem and Ivan Siem; Caleb (Kelsey) Siem of Mankato, Minn., and Daisy Siem; Tanner (Shantel) Siem of Platteville, Colo. and Paige Harmon, Madison Siem, Brooke Harmon, Bradin Siem, Landon Chapman and Brycen Siem; mother-in-law, Laura Greiner Fairmont; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Colette (Doug) Landsteiner, Monte (Svetlana) Greiner, Jayme (Tammy) Greiner, Jodelle Greiner and Celeste Cummins; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Darrell Siem and Sandra Siem Lindgren; brother, Randy; an aunt and uncle; and his stepfather, Robert Lindgren. Please visit www.stoddardsunset.com
