FAIRMONT -- Jay Anthony Wiederhoeft passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at the Mayo Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minn. A private family service for Jay will be held in the future. Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.
Jay Anthony Wiederhoeft was born June 21, 1961, in Fairmont, Minn., son of Lois Wiederhoeft. Jay attended Fairmont Public Schools and then enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Jay worked at various jobs in Fairmont. Jay was quite the adventurer. He was certified in deep sea diving, enjoyed bow hunting and in most recent years, loved biking around the country on his Harley. Jay was a quiet man with an exceptionally large heart and soul.
Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Lois Wiederhoeft; sister, Jeanne Doolittle; brother-in-law, Jack Doolittle; sisters-in-law, Diane (Gary) Wiederhoeft, Dali (Terry) Wiederhoeft; and niece, Jessica Doolittle with whom he shared a special bond and was tremendously proud of. Jay was preceded in death by his brothers, Gary and Terry.
