Gary was born May 8, 1944, in Blue Earth, Minn., to Milton and Evelyn (Schnoor) Ehrich. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church and graduated from Elmore High School in 1962. After high school he attended the University of Minnesota for a year before coming back home to help on the family farm. He farmed with his dad, his son, and most recently his grandson, Max. Three generations all farming together made him so proud. On Jan. 8, 1967, he married the love of his life, Sandra Kliendel. Together they raised two children, Heather and Shawn. Gary was a true family man. He enjoyed traveling, playing cards and spending time with his family and friends. No matter the situation, he was always positive and in good spirits. He was very involved with the church as an usher and elder. He was also the BUC wrestling booster president for several years. Nothing made him happier than attending his kids and grandkids functions and sporting events, rarely missing any of them.
Left to cherish many wonderful memories are his wife, Sandra; children, Heather (Charles) Davis and Shawn (Mary) Ehrich; his grandchildren, Ashley Davis, Alex (Mikayla) Davis, Allen Davis, Aaron Davis, Maxwell Ehrich and Madison Ehrich; as well as many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
