Sharon K. Jones

TRIMONT -- A celebration of life service for Sharon K. Jones, 84, of rural Trimont, Minn., will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Trimont, with burial in Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery, Fairmont, Minn.

Sharon was called to her eternal rest Sunday morning, March 12, 2023, at Goldfinch Memory Care in Fairmont, Minn. Visitation will take place from 9:30-11 a.m. Wednesday, March 22, at the church. Messages of sympathy may be sent to the family online at www.kramerfuneralhome.com

Sharon Kay Harries was born May 23, 1938, to Harold and Fern "Woodling" Harries in Kimball Township. She grew up in Kimball Township and later attended school in Tri-Mont, graduating with the class of 1956. Sharon attended Mankato Commercial College in Mankato. On Jan. 25, 1957, she was united in marriage to LeRoy Jones at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Kimball Township. After their marriage they farmed in Kimball Township and Sharon was employed at Trimont Schools as their bookkeeper. She later worked for Martin County West Schools in Welcome until her retirement in 2001. In 1981, they moved to their new home on Cedar Lake. LeRoy died on Nov. 3, 2010. She continued living at her home until moving to Goldfinch Estates in Fairmont. She was a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Kimball Township until it closed. She later became a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Trimont. Sharon participated in the Red Hat Ladies, Friendship Force where she traveled and several Bridge Clubs. You could find her gardening and sewing. She is survived by her three daughters: twins, Judy (Randy) Roth of rural Trimont, Minn., Janet Fischer of Lakefield, Minn., Monica Shelgren (Steve Schrupp) of Fairmont, Minn.; daughter-in-law, Terri Jones of Fairmont, Minn.; seven grandchildren, Kevin Jones, Kate Jones, Lindsey Higgins, Dallas Fischer, Darren Fischer, Hilary Nordstrom and Sophie Shelgren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Larry (Carole) Harries of rural Alpha, Minn.; brothers-in-law, David B. Jones and his wife, Carol of Trimont, Minn., Steven Jones and his wife, Janet of Larchwood, Iowa; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Jones of Silver Lake, Minn. and Dorothy Kingsley of Hixton, Wis.; nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Fern Harries; husband, LeRoy Jones; son, Dan Jones; son-in-law, Darrell Fischer; brothers-in-law, Robert Jr. and George Jones; and other relatives. The Jones family would like to thank the staff at Goldfinch for the care and concern given to their family and to mom, especially Nancy Moslowski and Judith Wolner, for continually going above and beyond in looking after Mom.
