EAST CHAIN -- Mass of Christian Burial for Ruth A. Lenort, age 92, of East Chain, Minn., will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Holy Family Catholic Church in East Chain, Minn., with interment in the church cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9:30-11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Ruth passed away Wednesday morning, March 8, 2023, in her home at Woodland Manor in Fairmont, Minn. Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.
Ruth Ann (Bulfer) Lenort was born April 28, 1930, in Fairmont, Minn., the daughter of Joseph and Johanna (Heckel) Bulfer. Ruth attended Fairmont public schools and graduated from Fairmont High School in 1948. On Nov. 21, 1950, Ruth was united in marriage to Gregory Lenort at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Fairmont. Ruth helped Greg farm as well as raising their family near East Chain before Greg retired in 1990. Ruth and Greg shared over 56 years together before Greg passed away on Jan. 17, 2007. Left to cherish her memory include her sons, Duane Lenort and his wife, Teresa of Fairmont, Minn., and Robert Lenort and his wife, Sue of Fairmont; daughters, Nancy Baune and her husband, David of Excelsior, Minn., Kathleen Lebahn and her husband, John of Prior Lake, Minn., and Jeanette Wolff and her husband, Duane of Winnebago, Minn.; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Fern Bulfer of Fairmont; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Along with her parents, Joseph and Johanna Bulfer, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Gregory Lenort; granddaughter, Melissa Wolff; 10 brothers and sisters; and other extended family. www.lakeviewfuneralhome.net
