EATONTON, Ga. -- Raymond Ronald Hilpipre, 86, of Eatonton, Ga., formerly of Blue Earth, Minn., passed away Monday, March 6, 2023, in Athens, Ga. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 11, at Faith Lutheran Church in Blue Earth, with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial with military honors will take place at Riverview Cemetery, Elmore, Minn. Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth is in charge of arrangements.
Raymond Ronald Hilpipre was born Oct. 29, 1936, in Pilot Grove Township, Faribault County, Minn., to Henry and Emma (Mosier) Hilpipre. He served in the U.S. Army from December of 1959 to March of 1962, and was honorably discharged.
Survivors include: his five children, Tom Childs of Fairmont Minn., Sue Hauskins of Blue Earth, Minn., Becky Markert of Decatur, Ga., Lori Stapp of Eatonton, Ga., and Bill Childs of Candler, N.C.; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Phyllis Rohlin of Spirit Lake Iowa, JoAnn Smith of Brooklyn Center, Minn., and Barbara Wood of Big Lake, Minn.; many other family and friends.
