Darryl was born Dec. 6, 1948, in Fairmont, Minn., to Laurence and Eileen (Sperry) Fowler. He attended and graduated from Huntley High School with the class of 1967. After graduation, Darryl enlisted in the U.S. Army National Guard for seven years. He later attended Jackson Vocational School and graduated with an agriculture production degree. Darryl worked for the Martin County Highway Department for 38 years before his retirement. He also had a love for farming all his life, beginning in 1964 when he first started to work the farm with his father. Darryl enjoyed plowing snow and driving truck. Growing up he was active in the 4-H Club. Most of all, Darryl enjoyed the time he spent with his family and friends. He will be missed. Left to cherish his memory are his three daughters, Stacy (Ben) DeWar of Windsor, Colo., Carrie Kluver of Granada, and Brenda (Josh) Schomberg of Duluth; grandchildren, Taylr Russell and Bryan DeWar, Kayla Laven, Jessica Stockwell, Sarah Ringnell, Brandon Kluver, and Eric Schomberg and Owen Schomberg; seven great-grandchildren; Mary Fowler; siblings, Patricia (Lynn) Ritter, Larry (Bonnie) Fowler, and Duane (Amy) Fowler; many nieces, nephews and friends.
