Richard ‘Dick’ W. Lobb
WINNEBAGO — Richard “Dick” W. Lobb, 79, of Winnebago, Minn., passed away Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023, at Valley Vue Care Center in Armstrong, Iowa. No services will be held at this time. Interment will be held at a later date at Nashville Township Cemetery. Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.
Richard “Dick” Wilson Lobb was born Feb. 12, 1943, to M. Wilson and Fern (Martin) Lobb in Nashville Township, Martin County, Minn. He attended school in Huntley, Minn., and then went to Dunwoody Industrial Institute in Minneapolis, Minn. On May 19, 1962, Dick was united in marriage to Nancy Huffman at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Fairmont. Dick was a lifelong resident of Martin County. He worked as a maintenance engineer for Railway Motors in Fairmont for thirty-five years. Dick was a member of St. John’s UCC in Fairmont. He enjoyed tinkering in his shop and built several steam engines and would often go to steam engine shows. Dick and Nancy loved to spend their winters in Arizona. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Nancy Lobb of Winnebago, Minn.; sister, Elaine Vandenburg of Hinsdale, Ill.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bonnie Walser of Fairmont, Minn., Wendy (Dallas) Becker of Fairmont, Minn., Peggy Silker Saatzer of Brainerd, Minn., and Bryan Huffman of Fairmont, Minn.
