Jean Aletta (Helstrom) Lutz was born July 28, 1934, in Minneapolis, Minn., the daughter of Charles and Emma (Jensen) Helstrom. She attended school in the Twin Cities area and later attended a Vocational & Technical College in Minneapolis. Jean worked at a sewing factory in Minneapolis where she met her future husband, Arlo Lutz. On June 30, 1967, Jean and Arlo were married at the home of Dale and Virgie (Adams) Lutz in Fairmont, Minn. The couple was blessed with two children, Ron and Lonnie. Jean enjoyed being able to be at home to raise her children while they were young. She later returned to work, working at Pic-Sweet in Fairmont for many years before retiring. Jean enjoyed the simple things in life and was a devout Catholic at the end of her life. She could often be found watching Mother Angelica on TV and writing letters to area bishops and priests. Her quiet time was filled with reading a good book or telling stories to her family and friends. Jean was a wonderful mother and grandmother and cherished any opportunity to spend time with her family. Her four-legged friends and seeing their tail wag with excitement when she walked into a room warmed her heart. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Ron Lutz and his companion Beth Nesbitt and her children, Zaiden and Leah; Lonnie Lutz; grandchildren, Jonathan Lutz, Alyssa Lutz, and Kaylee Lutz; her former daughter-in-law, Laura Lutz; as well as many extended family and friends. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Emma Helstrom; husband, Arlo Lutz; two grandchildren, Simon Lutz and Talitha Lutz. www.lakeviewfuneralhome.net
