Juanita L. Cegelske

BLUE EARTH -- Family graveside services for Juanita L. Cegelske, age 98, of Blue Earth, Minn., will be held at a later date.

Juanita passed away Sunday morning, Dec. 18, 2022, at St. Luke's Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth. Memorials are preferred to UHD Hospice in Blue Earth or St. Luke's Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth. Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairmont is

assisting the family with arrangements.

Juanita Lois (Burgess) Cegelske was born Sept. 18, 1924, to Jess and Alzina (Barker) Burgess in Crow Wing County, Minn. She attended school at District 43 in East Chain, Minn. On July 5, 1942, Juanita was united in marriage to Clarence Cegelske in Kasson, Minn. They made their home in St. Paul, Minn., before moving to a farm near Granada, Minn. in December of 1947. Juanita helped on the farm and also was a cook at the Sweet Shop, Redwood, Ronnie's CafÈ and the Sirloin House in Fairmont for five years. She also worked as a salesclerk for JC Penney's for fourteen years. In March of 2008, Juanita and Clarence moved to Blue Earth, Minn. Juanita was involved in the Good Sam Campers (9090 Gophers Chapter) and was a member at the Granada Methodist Church where she was active in Circle and Ladies Aid and East Chain Methodist Church.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Norden (Jean) Cegelske, Karen (Steve) Cegelske, Jerry (Tamela) Cegelske, Eldon Cegelske, Arlen (Linda) Cegelske, and Connie (Mike) Richison; grandchildren, Matthew Cegelske, Erin Rose, Andrew Cegelske,

Cameron Cegelske, Brandon Cegelske, Tara Jensen, Emily Westphal, Zachary Cegelske, Nicholas Richison and Colby Richison; many great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and other extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Alzina Burgess; husband, Clarence Cegelske; brother, Delmar Burgess; and her furever companion, Petey; and others that came before him. www.lakeviewfuneralhome.net
