Phillip Roger Larson

BURKBURNETT, Texas -- Phillip Roger Larson, 87, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2022. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, 2022, in the chapel of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Burkburnett, with Rev. Don Pellikan officiating. Interment will follow at Burkburnett Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Burkburnett.

Phillip was born Dec. 20, 1934, to Roosevelt and Leona Wiltze Larson. He served our country proudly in the U.S. Air Force for 23 years achieving the rank of Master Sergeant. During this time, he served 3 tours in Vietnam and was awarded the Silver Star. Phillip was a lifetime member of the VFW where he served as Commander for a period of time, and was also a member of the American Legion where he took great pride in placing flags at the cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, John Larson; sister, Bonnie Larson Nelson; and grandson, Mitchell Trimm. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Schultz Larson; sister, Catherine Larson Becker; sons, Lyle Larson (Kathryn), Richard Larson (Dennis Sanden), and David Larson (JoAnn); daughters, Leann Jorda (Bernard), and Kelly Goff (Lee); nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their gratitude and appreciation to the nurses and staff of Brookdale Sikes Lake and Hospice of Wichita Falls.
