Ralph “Skip” Hurlburt

FAIRMONT — A celebration of life visitation for Ralph “Skip” E. Hurlburt, 75, of Fairmont, Minn., will be held at a later date.

Hurlburt passed away Tuesday evening, Nov. 29, 2022, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minn. Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Ralph “Skip” Eugene Hurlburt was born Aug. 1, 1947, in Estherville, Iowa, the son of Ralph and Rozella (Fox) Hurlburt. He served in the U.S. Army and was a heavy vehicle operator in Vietnam where he was awarded a Purple Heart for wounds received in action on Feb. 2, 1968. He earned his honorable discharge on Oct. 17, 1968.

Survivors include: his wife, Naomi Hurlburt of Fairmont, Minn.; sons, Rob Hurlburt of Spencer, Iowa, Nathan Cottew of Dallas, Ga., Jacob Cottew of Good Thunder, Minn.; daughter, Amber Hurlburt of Wellington, Ohio; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Susie Schultz, Randy Hurlburt, Tim Hurlburt, Tom Hurlburt, Scott Hurlburt, Gary Hurlburt, Amy Bethel, Lori Antognozzi, and Russell Cox; other relatives and friends.
