SHERBURN -- A celebration of life service for Diane F. Faber, 79, of rural Sherburn, Minn., will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 28, 2022, at the Sherburn Assembly of God Church in Sherburn, Minn. Burial will be in Elm Creek Cemetery, rural Trimont, Minn.
Diane was called to her eternal rest Thursday evening, Nov. 10, 2022, at Goldfinch Memory Care in Fairmont, Minn. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 27, 2022, at the Sherburn Assembly of God Church in Sherburn, and one hour prior to the service Monday at the church in Sherburn. Diane Faye Lyons was born Jan. 9, 1943, to Cecil and Mildred (Krumwiede) Lyons in Triumph, Minn. She received her education in Tri-Mont Schools. Diane was then employed at the Trimont Nursing Home and helped on the farm. On Feb. 14, 1960, Diane
was united in marriage to Duane Faber at Trinity Lutheran Church in Trimont, Minn. After their marriage they lived by Truman until moving to a farm in Elm Creek Township. Diane worked at Stokely-Van Camp Canning Company in Fairmont. In 1994 she opened Ma Faber's in Sherburn and also cooked at the Fox Lake Golf Course and a restaurant in Truman. She attended and was an active in the Assembly of God Regional Worship Center in Sherburn. She greatly enjoyed cooking, sewing, drawing, baking and her pride and joy was her grandchildren. She loved to cook with them at the restaurant and play softball, go four-wheeling and go to all their sporting events, never wanting to miss any. of Davison, Mich., Dane Faber of rural Sherburn, Minn., Darnel (Layne) Ebeling of Trimont, Minn.; 10 grandchildren, Cassidy Faber, Camden (Ashley) Moos, Brooklynne (Jared) Cowan, Jacob Faber, London Faber, Josiah Ebeling, Logan Ebeling, Mercedes Faber,
Tasha Faber, Cameron Kabe; nine great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Everley, Holly, Emmalynne, Mason, Jackston, Navy, Roree, Jett; sister, Sandra (Larry) Stickler of Truman, Minn.; brother, LeRoy "Butch" (Marilyn) Lyons of rural Truman, Minn.; sisters-in-law, Delores Anderson of Marshall, Minn., and Lila Weberg of Rochester, Minn.; brother-in-law, Gary Landers of Dodge Center, Minn.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Diane was preceded in death by her husband, Duane Faber on Feb. 19, 2018; son, DudLee Faber on July 30, 2021; parents, Cecil and Mildred Lyons; sister, Peggy Landers; brothers-in-law, Donald Faber, Roger Anderson; sister-in-law, Twyla Weber; and other relatives.
