Rena was born Sept 11, 1946, in Warren, Ohio, daughter of Virgil and Helen (Nichols) Theis. She was a graduate of Vienna High School, class of 1964. Rena worked in the computer field, for many years. For many years, she owned her own business, RJ Computers, in Fairmont, Minn. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Madelia. Rena is survived by her son, Gregory of St. Francis, Minn.; grandchildren, Noah and David Scherman of Hopkins, Minn., Tony Scherman of Minneapolis, Minn., and Cecelia Byers of Fairmont, Minn.; two great-grandchildren, Tatum and Aaliyah Byers of Fairmont; five sisters, Martha Theis, Rose Cleverly, Virginia Andrews and Anah Zeboskey of Citrus Heights, Calif., and Mary Hart of Sacramento Calif.; two brothers, David of South Carolina, and Leonard of Lincoln, Calif. She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip; son. Sgt. Michael Scherman, U.S. Army; granddaughter, Hannah Scherman; her parents; and brother, Edward.
